What Does a Windshield Crack Look Like?
A windshield crack is a defined fracture line that runs away from an impact point or begins near an edge. It may be straight, curved, branched, or connected to an older chip. Some cracks remain short at first, while others quickly travel across a large portion of the glass.
You may have a crack if you notice:
- A thin line extending beyond a concentrated impact point
- Damage that reaches or begins at the windshield edge

- A line you can see from both inside and outside the vehicle
